This is my tinkering object, a 1979 Mercedes-Benz 280SE, model W116.

It is powered by a straight-6, 2.746 l, 185bhp engine. It features injection and contactless electronic ignition.

These types of car were very advanced for their time. They were one of the first to have standard power steering, 4 disk brakes, independent front and rear wheel suspension and safety features like collapsing steering column, side impact protection and 4 seatbelts. Things that we've all become accustomed to nowadays. I like the fine technology and I enjoy doing my own repairs and maintenance.
